Product Overview

Residential towers and medium commercial sites outgrowing their mains pressure get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 10-2 set. Quote part number 93637826 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

This set provides up to 781 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 28 metres of head where required. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 400 V power at 50 Hz with a rated current of 9.3 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Applications include water supply networks, commercial buildings and irrigation schemes. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Three Grundfos CRNE 10-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
