Product Overview

In expanding commercial sites whose original mains feed no longer keep pace, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 10-9 answers with three CRNE 10-9 pumps operating in parallel. Everything is ordered under the single part number 93637846.

The system supports flow rates up to 778 L/min. It can develop up to 131 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 30.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Applications include high-rise developments, industry and irrigation schemes. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • Three Grundfos CRNE 10-9 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Rated 5.5 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
