Product Overview

For business parks adding tenancies faster than their mains can serve, a factory-assembled Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 20-4 package provides a well-matched solution, with three CRNE 20-4 pumps staged against the demand curve. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637896 to put it on site.

Flow capacity reaches 1736 L/min. Up to 82 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 100 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 41.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Typical duty sits with irrigation schemes, high-rise developments and commercial buildings. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • An integrated 8L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The system pairs three CRNE 20-4 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 100 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Rated 7.5 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
