Product Overview

Cafe strips and small assemblies where a dishwasher cycle drops the street pressure rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 5-2 is engineered for exactly that duty. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637781 to put it on site.

It handles flows up to 493 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 19 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

The three-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 230 V at 50 Hz with a rated current of 6.7 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Its home ground covers commercial buildings, water supply networks and irrigation schemes. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Rated 0.55 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Inlet pressure monitoring provides dry-running protection if the suction supply is insufficient.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • The system pairs three CRNE 5-2 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
