Product Overview

Sites such as school blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation require consistent pressure regardless of demand fluctuation; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-1 achieves this with two CRE 10-1 pumps operating in parallel. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614377.

The system supports flow rates up to 511 L/min. It can develop up to 14 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 2.94 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers hospitals, industrial process supply and mixed-use commercial buildings. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The system pairs two CRE 10-1 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Rated 0.55 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
