Product Overview

Aged-care villages and medical centres that cannot tolerate pressure swings rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-4 is engineered for exactly that duty. Specify part number 99614349 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

Flow capacity reaches 453 L/min. Up to 57 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 6.2 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on schools and universities and hospitals sites, plus high-rise apartments duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 10-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
