Product Overview

Where business parks adding tenancies faster than their mains can serve are served from a single booster, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-6 holds pressure steady as two CRE 10-6 pumps respond to changing flow. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99614416 to put it on site.

This set provides up to 498 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 87 metres of head where required. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 12.4 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers high-rise apartments, hospitals and mixed-use commercial buildings. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • The system pairs two CRE 10-6 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
