Product Overview
Across installations such as school blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-9 maintains stable pressure at every draw-off point. Quote part number 99614424 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.
Flow capacity reaches 476 L/min. Up to 130 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 16.2 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.
Its home ground covers schools and universities, hospitals and hotel plant rooms. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Two Grundfos CRE 10-9 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Each main pump is rated 4 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
- Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.

How much fluid volume can the parallel centrifugal wet ends discharge when operating together?
Operating across its factory curve, the Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-9 U2 A-A-I-I-DU discharges up to 476 L/min of clean water to maintain consistent line pressure during peak demand cycles.
Which permanent magnet or inverter electric motors power this parallel pump assembly?
Each centrifugal stage of the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-9 is driven by a 4 kW IE5 permanent-magnet MGE electric motor running on 3 x 380-415 V power, utilizing built-in variable speed drives to adjust output dynamically.
How much total dynamic head does this multi pump booster package generate under peak demand?
Elevating water across multi-level pipework, the Hydro-Multi-E-2-CRE-10-9 maintains up to 130 m total dynamic head with an overall 16 bar maximum operating limit.
What plumbing manifold dimensions and isolating valves are factory assembled on this package?
Plumbed for rapid site installation, the Hydro Multi E 2 CRE 10 9 includes R 2 1/2 stainless steel headers equipped with dedicated isolating valves, check valves, and pressure transmitters.
What manufacturer warranty protection backs the complete packaged booster skid?
