Product Overview

In gymnasiums, aquatic centres and student housing running wall-to-wall showers, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-1 answers with two CRE 15-1 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 99657289 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

Flow capacity reaches 864 L/min. Up to 19 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.74 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include mixed-use commercial buildings, hospitals and hotel plant rooms. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Rated 1.1 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 15-1 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
