Product Overview
In hotels whose kitchen, laundry and bath peak collide at six in the morning, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-2 answers with two CRE 15-2 pumps operating in parallel. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614447.
Flow capacity reaches 881 L/min. Up to 40 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 8.86 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Its home ground covers hotel plant rooms, aged-care complexes and industrial process supply. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- The system pairs two CRE 15-2 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
- Each main pump is rated 2.2 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
