Product Overview

Residential towers and medium commercial sites outgrowing their mains pressure get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-4 set. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614453.

Flow capacity reaches 831 L/min. Up to 79 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 16.2 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include hotel plant rooms, aged-care complexes and hospitals. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Each main pump is rated 4 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 15-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
