Product Overview

Business parks adding tenancies faster than their mains can serve rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-5 is engineered for exactly that duty. Quote part number 99614459 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

This set provides up to 884 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 99 metres of head where required. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 21.9 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with aged-care complexes, mixed-use commercial buildings and high-rise apartments. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 15-5 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 80 mm manifold connections.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • At P2 each main pump is 5.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
