Product Overview
For gymnasiums, aquatic centres and student housing running wall-to-wall showers, a factory-assembled Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-8 package provides a well-matched solution, with two CRE 15-8 pumps staged against the demand curve. Quote part number 99614462 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.
The system supports flow rates up to 843 L/min. It can develop up to 158 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.
The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 30 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.
Applications include mixed-use commercial buildings, schools and universities and aged-care complexes. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.
Features
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 80 mm manifold connections.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
- Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
- At P2 each main pump is 7.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- The system pairs two CRE 15-8 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
- Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
