Product Overview

Mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-1 set. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99657294.

This set provides up to 1074 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 20 metres of head where required. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 6.2 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on high-rise apartments and hospitals sites, plus aged-care complexes duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Rated 1.5 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 20-1 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
