Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-1 is a proven fit for expanding commercial sites whose original mains feed no longer keep pace, with two Grundfos CRE 20-1 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99614466.

This set provides up to 1156 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 20 metres of head where required. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 8.86 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include industrial process supply, aged-care complexes and schools and universities. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 20-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Rated 2.2 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.

Which water delivery capacity does this packaged multi pump unit provide under full operational demand?

Operating across its factory curve, the Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-1 U2 A-A-I-I-D discharges up to 1156 L/min of clean water to maintain consistent line pressure during peak demand cycles.

How does the integrated variable frequency drive regulate motor speed across changing flow rates?

Each centrifugal stage of the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-1 is driven by a 2.2 kW IE5 permanent-magnet MGE electric motor running on 3 x 380-415 V power, utilizing built-in variable speed drives to adjust output dynamically.

Under full operational pressure, what dynamic head does this parallel booster assembly deliver?

Elevating water across multi-level pipework, the Hydro-Multi-E-2-CRE-20-1 maintains up to 20 m total dynamic head with an overall 10 bar maximum operating limit.

Which pipework connection sizing and manifold valves are integrated across this booster unit?

Plumbed for rapid site installation, the Hydro Multi E 2 CRE 20 1 includes DN 80 stainless steel headers equipped with dedicated isolating valves, check valves, and pressure transmitters.

What warranty coverage and service provisions back this multi pump booster unit?
