Product Overview

In business parks adding tenancies faster than their mains can serve, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-2 answers with two CRE 20-2 pumps operating in parallel. Part number 99614468 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

It handles flows up to 1103 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 40 metres of head when pressure demand increases. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 12.4 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with hospitals, hotel plant rooms and industrial process supply. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 20-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Rated 3 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 80 mm manifold connections.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
