Product Overview
Residential towers and medium commercial sites outgrowing their mains pressure get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-3 set. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99614473 to put it on site.
Flow capacity reaches 1063 L/min. Up to 61 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 16.2 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Expect it on aged-care complexes and high-rise apartments sites, plus schools and universities duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.
Features
- Two Grundfos CRE 20-3 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- Each main pump is rated 4 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
- Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
