Product Overview

Mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 20-6 is engineered for exactly that duty. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99657296.

It handles flows up to 1060 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 123 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 30 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with industrial process supply, hospitals and schools and universities. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 20-6 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Each main pump is rated 7.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
