Product Overview

Where tea rooms, staff kitchens and en-suite banks in small commercial sites are served from a single booster, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 3-10 holds pressure steady as two CRE 3-10 pumps respond to changing flow. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99657279.

The system supports flow rates up to 168 L/min. It can develop up to 94 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.74 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers mixed-use commercial buildings, hotel plant rooms and schools and universities. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.1 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 3-10 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
