Product Overview
Across installations such as cafe strips and small assemblies where a dishwasher cycle drops the street pressure, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 3-4 maintains stable pressure at every draw-off point. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614233.
Flow capacity reaches 156 L/min. Up to 37 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 2.28 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Its home ground covers mixed-use commercial buildings, hotel plant rooms and hospitals. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- At P2 each main pump is 0.37 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
- The system pairs two CRE 3-4 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
