Product Overview

Sites such as showers, coffee machines and dishwashers competing for one limited mains feed require consistent pressure regardless of demand fluctuation; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 3-8 achieves this with two CRE 3-8 pumps operating in parallel. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614250.

Flow capacity reaches 158 L/min. Up to 73 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 1 x 200-240 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 9.02 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on hotel plant rooms and industrial process supply sites, plus mixed-use commercial buildings duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • The system pairs two CRE 3-8 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Each main pump is rated 0.75 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
