Product Overview

Sites such as stadium amenities and convention centres that fill to the brim in short bursts require consistent pressure regardless of demand fluctuation; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE32-5-2 achieves this with two CRE 32-5 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 93320242 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

Flow capacity reaches 1634 L/min. Up to 131 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 51.6 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Applications include mixed-use commercial buildings, industrial process supply and hotel plant rooms. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 32-5 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Rated 15 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 100 mm manifold connections.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
