Product Overview

In distribution depots and cold stores running continuous hose-down stations, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE45-2 answers with two CRE 45-2 pumps operating in parallel. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93320248 to put it on site.

The system supports flow rates up to 2285 L/min. It can develop up to 76 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 39.2 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with hotel plant rooms, aged-care complexes and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Rated 11 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 45-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
