Product Overview

For apartment towers, hotel plant rooms and school wings with real morning demand spikes, a factory-assembled Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE45-3 package provides a well-matched solution, with two CRE 45-3 pumps staged against the demand curve. Specify part number 93320252 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

Flow capacity reaches 2367 L/min. Up to 113 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 64 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with high-rise apartments, hotel plant rooms and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • The system pairs two CRE 45-3 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Each main pump is rated 18.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
