Product Overview

Processing plants and multi-storey carparks whose boosters never truly idle get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE45-4-2 set. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93320256 to put it on site.

It handles flows up to 2365 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 136 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 75.4 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with high-rise apartments, hospitals and schools and universities. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 150 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • At P2 each main pump is 22 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 45-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
