Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 5-16 is a proven fit for childcare centres and clinic fitouts that live on steady warm-water supply, with two Grundfos CRE 5-16 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99614358.

Flow capacity reaches 308 L/min. Up to 155 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 12.4 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Typical duty sits with hotel plant rooms, schools and universities and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 5-16 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
