Product Overview
Boutique motels and dental suites whose tenants notice every pressure dip get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 5-2 set. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614200.
The system supports flow rates up to 298 L/min. It can develop up to 19 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 200-240 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.78 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Typical duty sits with schools and universities, hospitals and aged-care complexes. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.
Features
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- The system pairs two CRE 5-2 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
- Each main pump is rated 0.37 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
