Product Overview

Across installations such as childcare centres and clinic fitouts that live on steady warm-water supply, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 5-2 maintains stable pressure at every draw-off point. Part number 99614227 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

It handles flows up to 301 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 19 metres of head when pressure demand increases. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 2.28 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on industrial process supply and aged-care complexes sites, plus schools and universities duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 5-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • At P2 each main pump is 0.37 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
