Product Overview
In childcare centres and clinic fitouts that live on steady warm-water supply, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 5-4 answers with two CRE 5-4 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 99614332 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.
The system supports flow rates up to 304 L/min. It can develop up to 39 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 3.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Typical duty sits with mixed-use commercial buildings, high-rise apartments and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.
Features
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
- The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
- No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
- Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- At P2 each main pump is 0.75 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
- Two Grundfos CRE 5-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
