Product Overview

Where distribution depots and cold stores running continuous hose-down stations are served from a single booster, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE64-1-1 holds pressure steady as two CRE 64-1 pumps respond to changing flow. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93320260 to put it on site.

Flow capacity reaches 3215 L/min. Up to 31 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 27.2 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers hospitals, aged-care complexes and high-rise apartments. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • The system pairs two CRE 64-1 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • At P2 each main pump is 5.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
