Product Overview
In stadium amenities and convention centres that fill to the brim in short bursts, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE64-2-1 answers with two CRE 64-2 pumps operating in parallel. Part number 93320264 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.
This set provides up to 3474 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 74 metres of head where required. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 64 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Its home ground covers mixed-use commercial buildings, industrial process supply and hospitals. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
- Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
- Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- Each main pump is rated 18.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- Two Grundfos CRE 64-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
