Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE64-2-2 is a proven fit for processing plants and multi-storey carparks whose boosters never truly idle, with two Grundfos CRE 64-2 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93328665.

This set provides up to 3474 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 60 metres of head where required. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 51.6 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on hospitals and mixed-use commercial buildings sites, plus aged-care complexes duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 64-2 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Each main pump is rated 15 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
