Product Overview

For school blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation, a factory-assembled Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 20-1 package provides a well-matched solution, with two CRNE 20-1 pumps staged against the demand curve. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99752350.

Flow capacity reaches 1156 L/min. Up to 20 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 8.86 A, with IP55 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers industrial process supply, hotel plant rooms and hospitals. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 20-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
  • Rated 2.2 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
