Product Overview

In mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 20-4 answers with two CRNE 20-4 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 99752367 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

Flow capacity reaches 1068 L/min. Up to 82 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 21.9 A, with IP55 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on high-rise apartments and hospitals sites, plus hotel plant rooms duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Rated 5.5 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP55.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 20-4 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 80 mm manifold connections.
