Product Overview
Aged-care villages and medical centres that cannot tolerate pressure swings rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 20-6 is engineered for exactly that duty. Part number 99752369 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.
It handles flows up to 1060 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 123 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 30 A. The motors have IP55 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.
Typical duty sits with high-rise apartments, hospitals and aged-care complexes. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.
Features
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
- Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
- At P2 each main pump is 7.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
- The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
- Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- The system pairs two CRNE 20-6 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
