Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 3-10 is a proven fit for showers, coffee machines and dishwashers competing for one limited mains feed, with two Grundfos CRNE 3-10 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99752161 to put it on site.

It handles flows up to 168 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 92 metres of head when pressure demand increases. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 200-240 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 12.9 A, with IP55 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on mixed-use commercial buildings and schools and universities sites, plus high-rise apartments duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 3-10 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Rated 1.1 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
