Product Overview

Where day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once are served from a single booster, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 5-2 holds pressure steady as two CRNE 5-2 pumps respond to changing flow. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99752182.

Flow capacity reaches 298 L/min. Up to 19 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 1 x 200-240 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.78 A. The motors have IP55 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on industrial process supply and hospitals sites, plus high-rise apartments duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Two Grundfos CRNE 5-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • At P2 each main pump is 0.37 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
