Product Overview

Where day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once are served from a single booster, the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 5-2 holds pressure steady as two CRNE 5-2 pumps respond to changing flow. Specify part number 99752198 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

This set provides up to 329 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 19 metres of head where required. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 1 x 200-240 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 6.68 A. The motors have IP55 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with schools and universities, aged-care complexes and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 5-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Each main pump is rated 0.55 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP55.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
