Product Overview

Sites such as small sites where a duty-point review calls for reserve pump capacity require consistent pressure regardless of demand fluctuation; the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 5-4 achieves this with two CRNE 5-4 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 99752206 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.

It handles flows up to 304 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 38 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 200-240 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 9.02 A, with IP55 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on mixed-use commercial buildings and aged-care complexes sites, plus industrial process supply duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Rated 0.75 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 5-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
