Product Overview

Multi-tenanted business parks experiencing expanding tenancy loads solve fluctuating pressure with the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 64-1. Operating two CRNE 64-1 pumps in parallel duty, the booster automatically cuts pumps in and out to track line velocity. Quote part number 93368435 to have the entire pre-commissioned assembly delivered to site.

Flow delivery achieves up to 3400 L/min across connected building pipework. Up to 46.9 metres of shut-off head is generated to overcome vertical riser friction. Advanced Multi-Master firmware shares operating duties directly between pump heads, providing immediate fail-safe handover if an individual drive is isolated.

Pre-fabricated on a shared mounting frame, the booster incorporates stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with combined rated current of 27.2 A (2 x 13.6 A per pump). Motors carry IP54 sealing with maximum pressure of 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C, and inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Well-matched to demanding institutional facilities like food production facilities, logistics distribution hubs and aquatic sports centres, the set ensures reliable boosting. Variable-speed motor modulation makes the set a practical clean-water pressure-boosting solution for both new plant rooms and system upgrades.

FEATURES

  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 150 mm manifold connections ready for plant pipework.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Each main pump is rated 7.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • The system pairs two CRNE 64-1 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a smartphone.

Commercial laundry facilities and large-scale wash bays use the Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 64-1 (part number 93368435) to sustain high-volume rinse water throughout continuous operational shifts. Inverter-driven vertical multistage pumps ramp smoothly as demand increases and idle when fixtures close, reducing electrical consumption and pipe stress. Pre-mounted suction and discharge manifolds combine with built-in check valves to streamline mechanical hook-up and routine maintenance.
