Product Overview

Corporate office high-rises with multi-tier plumbing risers eliminate upper-floor pressure loss using the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 64-3. Integrated variable-speed drives coordinate the two CRNE 64-3 pumps in parallel, seamlessly ramping output as fixtures open. Part number 93368445 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

Engineered for high demand, the system supplies up to 3400 L/min at the header. Multistage vertical hydraulics produce up to 131.6 metres of maximum head. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Arriving fully wet-tested from the factory, the system integrates stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with combined rated current of 75.4 A (2 x 37.7 A per pump). Motors carry IP54 sealing with maximum pressure of 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C, and inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Facilities such as high-rise apartments, hotel plant rooms and schools and universities rely on the system for smooth, inverter-driven pressure boosting. Variable-speed motor modulation makes the set a practical clean-water pressure-boosting solution for both new plant rooms and system upgrades.

FEATURES

  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 150 mm manifold connections ready for plant pipework.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 64-3 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Each main pump is rated 26 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a smartphone.
