Product Overview
For mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments, a factory-assembled Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 10-9 package provides a well-matched solution, with three CRE 10-9 pumps staged against the demand curve. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99614427 to put it on site.
It handles flows up to 711 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 130 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 24.3 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.
Typical duty sits with aged-care complexes, mixed-use commercial buildings and schools and universities. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.
Features
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- Three Grundfos CRE 10-9 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
- Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Rated 4 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
