Product Overview

Mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 15-1 is engineered for exactly that duty. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99657290.

Flow capacity reaches 1297 L/min. Up to 19 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The three-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 7.11 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with schools and universities, mixed-use commercial buildings and industrial process supply. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 100 mm manifold connections.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 15-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • At P2 each main pump is 1.1 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
