Product Overview

Gymnasiums, aquatic centres and student housing running wall-to-wall showers rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 20-1 is engineered for exactly that duty. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99657295.

The system supports flow rates up to 1612 L/min. It can develop up to 20 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The three-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 9.3 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on hospitals and mixed-use commercial buildings sites, plus aged-care complexes duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 100 mm manifold connections.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 20-1 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
