Product Overview

Mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 20-2 is engineered for exactly that duty. Part number 99614471 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

It handles flows up to 1655 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 40 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The three-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 18.6 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Its home ground covers high-rise apartments, industrial process supply and mixed-use commercial buildings. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 100 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 20-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
