Product Overview
The Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 3-10 is a proven fit for tea rooms, staff kitchens and en-suite banks in small commercial sites, with three Grundfos CRE 3-10 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99657280.
It handles flows up to 251 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 94 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 7.11 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Applications include industrial process supply, schools and universities and aged-care complexes. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.
Features
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
- Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
- Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Each main pump is rated 1.1 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
- Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Three Grundfos CRE 3-10 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
