Product Overview

Day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 3-5 is engineered for exactly that duty. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99614248 to put it on site.

The system supports flow rates up to 250 L/min. It can develop up to 46 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.41 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with hotel plant rooms, industrial process supply and hospitals. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 3-5 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • At P2 each main pump is 0.55 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
