Product Overview

High-occupancy towers where every level opens its taps inside the same half hour get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE32-1 set. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93320235 to put it on site.

This set provides up to 2130 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 27 metres of head where required. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 16.9 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include industrial process supply, high-rise apartments and hospitals. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Rated 2.2 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 32-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 150 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
