Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE32-4-2 is a proven fit for high-occupancy towers where every level opens its taps inside the same half hour, with three Grundfos CRE 32-4 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93320239.

The system supports flow rates up to 2113 L/min. It can develop up to 98 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 58.7 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Expect it on industrial process supply and hotel plant rooms sites, plus schools and universities duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Each main pump is rated 7.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 32-4 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 150 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
