Product Overview

Distribution depots and cold stores running continuous hose-down stations rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE32-5-2 is engineered for exactly that duty. Part number 93320243 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

The system supports flow rates up to 2452 L/min. It can develop up to 131 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 150 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 77.4 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Its home ground covers hospitals, high-rise apartments and hotel plant rooms. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 32-5 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Rated 15 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
